Our Stories: Veronica Marin, Board Member

Veronica started volunteering with Esperanza in 2016. She joined Esperanza because she is an advocate for youth and is passionate about higher education and persistence for all students regardless of their backgrounds. As a first-generation college graduate, Veronica has an appreciation for the work and support that Esperanza does for its Scholars. A proud University of Maryland alumna and Washington, D.C. native, Veronica hopes to continue to support the success of all Esperanza scholars. She brings a wealth of experience from previous positions working with local D.C. area youth at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History and for the non-profit organization – For Love of Children. Veronica currently works at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she also obtained her B.A. in History.
