Our Stories: Pallavi Ravada, Development Committee Volunteer

Pallavi Ravada, Volunteer, and member of the Development Committee, was introduced to Esperanza in 2020 through mutual friends after expressing a desire to get “more involved” in the local community. As a first-generation immigrant herself, she feels privileged to have been afforded the access to and opportunities from receiving higher education, and is strongly inspired by Esperanza’s clarity in purpose and resolute commitment to advocacy, equity, and support for immigrant students to reach their full potential.

A native of Northern Virginia, Pallavi currently resides in D.C. and is currently an Enterprise Risk Manager at Capital One in Tysons Corner. She spent several years prior working primarily in NYC and Singapore in financial risk consulting focusing on capital and liquidity governance. She holds a B.S. in Finance from Virginia Tech. An avid traveler, food junkie, and vinyl record collector in her free time, Pallavi remains eager to work with her Esperanza team members to continue bringing a positive impact to the community and the next generation of scholars.
