Our Stories: Natalie Gould, Mentorship Committee Co-Chair

2013-11-30 13.40.58 - Version 4Natalie Gould, Board Member, started volunteering with Esperanza after her first Benefit Concert in 2015. Natalie joined Esperanza because she believes that hard-working students, regardless of their documentation status, should have access to high quality education. Formerly the co-chair of the Scholar Success Committee, Natalie joined the Board in 2017.

Natalie is the Director of Operations for the Washington Leadership Academy, a public charter high school in the District of Columbia. She holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in Minnesota, Natalie is now a proud resident of D.C., and enjoys the walking around the National Mall, reading biographies, and listening to music from the 1980s.

Being a part of Esperanza reminds me that a group of dedicated people really can make a difference. I’m consistently humbled by the hard work and generosity of our scholars, volunteers, and board members, and am so excited to see the impact this community will make in years to come.
