Our Stories: Brian Greene, Volunteer

Brian Greene photoBrian Greene, Volunteer, became involved in Esperanza in 2009 after meeting with Alvaro Bedoya and Alex Lin, who had responded to his email to a listserv saying that he’d just moved to Washington, D.C. and needed to “get involved.”  Born in East Lansing, Michigan, Brian was lucky enough to attend a public school with students from over 40 different countries, which at an early age exposed him to the struggles that immigrant students endure, and the value that these students provide to our society.

Brian is a graduate of Princeton University and the University of Michigan law school and spent over 2 years of his life, living, working and studying in South America, mostly in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.  He is an associate at Chadbourne & Parke LLP, where his practice primarily focuses on the development and financing of renewable energy projects, often in Latin America.

Brian the father of a black lab named Guinness and a golden retriever named Heineken.
