Thank you for believing in me and for guiding me through the right path. It’s still hard to believe that I’m getting a step closer to my dream of becoming a great immigration attorney. I have started my internship at a law office. I still cannot believe it. I hope this brings you pride and joy to know that I’m exceeding beyond expectations!
I began mentoring Esperanza scholars as soon as the mentorship program was founded. Since then, I have supported – witnessed, really – the progress to success of three wonderful young students.
The Esperanza Education Fund truly stands for “Esperanza”….HOPE.
I think that every child, regardless of where they’re from or what their papers say, has the right to a good education.
I have so much respect and admiration for each Esperanza scholar – they overcome so much to achieve success.
I was originally drawn to Esperanza by its lively, smart, idealistic founders, then became more committed as I got to know the scholars themselves, whose resourcefulness, hard work and optimism inspire me every day. I want to help Esperanza fully support our scholars, and I want our country to fully support them as well.
If you ask anyone that knows me, they will tell you that I have been fascinated by airplanes since a very young age. Now, I am a sophomore studying computer engineering at Virginia Tech who is aspiring to work in the field of avionic systems of aircraft. I interned at GE Aviation over the past summer and loved learning about airplanes and engines and will be going back this upcoming summer once again!
