Community Recognition

This fall, Esperanza was selected for the Community Agency “CORO” Award from the District of Columbia Courts in recognition of our service to the Latino community in the District of Columbia. For the last ten years, the D.C. Courts have celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing outstanding individuals and organizations that have provided invaluable services to theLatino community in the District of Columbia. Board member, Brenda Perez, and Co-Founder Alice Wang, were on site to receive the award on Esperanza’s behalf, and we are honored to be recognized for our work serving the Latino immigrant community in addition to immigrant communities from all over the world.
